PROFILE OF GOVERNOR SINDH
Mr. Muhammad Kamran Khan Tessori is a renowned businessman and philanthropist, born and raised in a noble business family of Karachi. The Government of Pakistan, owing to his credible standing in the political, business and social circles, has appointed him as Governor of Sindh on 10th October, 2022.
Mr. Kamran, with an entrepreneurial passion continued to expend his family business and took “TESSORI Group” to the new heights. He is a proud recipient of “Businessman of the Year Award” thrice and also “The Largest Exporter Trophy” in Gem and Jewelry for the record 9 times. Besides, other several national and international awards including “Golden Son of Pakistan Award” by the hands of Ex-President of Pakistan, General Pervaiz Musharraf, he has recently been bestowed upon with “Tamgha-e-Imtiaz” by the President of Pakistan.
His profound tendency to serve people in a wider perspective, led Mr. Kamran Khan Tessori towards the politics. He in his political career played very positive role and promote harmony and co-existence among the people of different opinions.
After assuming being the Governor Sindh, he, with his firm religious inclination, wrote letters advising the Chief Minister Sindh for incorporating the mandatory declaration of belief in finality of Prophethood (PBUH) in the Marriage Certificate (Nikahnama). He also proposed the Chief Minister Sindh for the education of Quran-e-Kareem as a mandatory subject for the Muslim students in schools and colleges. He has also suggested for formation of Primary Education Commission composed of eminent academicians and able officers for raising the standard of this foremost level of education in the Province.
After his assumption of apex office, his initiatives for the public wellbeing have widely been lauded. In Ramadan, he opened the doors of Governor House for everyone, and more than three lacs (300,000) people enjoyed the hospitality of Iftar and Dinner with all incurred expenditures paid by Mr. Tessori himself.
With his visionary approach, he came up with the most advanced Information Technology Courses for making our youth Certified AI, Metaverse, and Web 3.0 developers to grab the due share in the global market. After a mega entry test programme wherein 500,000 people participated, now commencement of classes for fifty thousands (50,000) successful students, unbelievably without paying any fee, in the premises of Governor House, is just around the corner.
He has established a Bell of Hope at the Main Gate of Governor House, where people aggrieved in any mean, can come and place their grievance, besides a regular drive for distribution of Ration in Governor House for the last couple of months and thousands of people have been benefitted thereby. A programme for provision of free Health Insurance is also underway, which shall provide free healthcare services to 500,000 deserving families.
He is committed to serve people with more fervor ahead.
